And now to Gretchen's text message. Take a look at this quick screen shot (via my cell phone) of Gretchen's smart phone, from ~15 minutes into episode 10 (just before Sucre meets with Gretchen at the bar):

Gretchen appears to be sending a message to "Edward Guthrie" (whoever he is) pretending to be Gary Miller--another alias for Whistler. Does this mean that Edward Guthrie thinks it's actually Gary (Whistler) texting him? If so, that would indicate that Gretchen is trying to keep up the scam (by sending text messages) long enough to get Whistler out of Sona.
Alternately, could the text message be code--with "Edward Guthrie" being a fictitious alias just as "Gary Miller" may be a fictitious alias? Could "Sales" and "through the roof" and the golf reference all be code for something else?
I'm leaning in the direction of the first possibility--that Gretchen is trying to control a situation that got out of hand (Whistler being sent to Sona) by hiding that from someone farther up the food chain (Edward Guthrie).

Does gretchen know about the escape plan? because if she does, through the roof is a clear reference of how the escape will be. Through the roof of the tunnel...
And putting.. Golf.. I have no idea yet.. maybe there is something hidden in a golf course? are there any golf courses near Sona? the town where sona is looks really porr to have a golf course...
Great point! I hadn't considered the "through the roof" line to be a reference to the tunnel.
Even more fringe: perhaps "putting" has to do with outside assistance with the breakout from Sona. When a golfer putts, his goal is the hole--the end game of what started with teeing off. Could it be that Gretchen is using code to say something like: "Whistler is about to tunnel out of Sona...I hope you're working on the plan to meet him (at the 'hole' where he digs out) and extract him (as a golfer would extract a ball)?"
Notice her message says "We'll be in contact soon"--plural--instead of "I'll be in contact soon" which would seem more normal if Gary was emailing Ed. Perhaps because "Gary Miller" refers to Gretchen's team or operation rather than to an actual person?
I BELIEVE THAT YOU SHOULD SEE THIS
